The video is funny, but I wanted it to be compressed into about 2/3 of the time. But perhaps he’s aping the long form of Victorian prosody?

I think the style is part of the funny–it’s not just that he’s aping Victorian prosody, but also the self-involvement of all truly obsessed people.
