About

My book

My name is Jason B. Jones, and I am an associate professor of English at Central Connecticut State University. I’m the author of Lost Causes: Historical Consciousness in Victorian Literature, which was published in 2006 by Ohio State University Press. I’m currently working on an edition of Charles Kingsley’s Alton Locke: Tailor and Poet for Broadview Press, and an edition of Bulwer Lytton’s Paul Clifford for Valancourt Books.

In addition to blogging here about higher education, teaching, Victorian literature, psychoanalysis, humanities computing, and anything else that seems appropriate, I am a staff writer at PopMatters, where I help with Re:Print, and on Thursdays I contribute to the Blog of a Bookslut, where I also review books. I occasionally contribute to Academic Commons, too.
