See, my problem isn’t the rules, it’s the good old boy workarounds and the lack of process or available meaningful information regarding rule making processes. I find myself getting annoyed and resistant when rules are made arbitrarily, when administrators (or occasionally faculty) fail to provide adequate information about the specifics of the rule – especially when the rule is being challenged.
But generally, I feel this rule post. Time and time again I see certain folks breaking rules they were involved in creating, regardless of the outcome, and with a sense of smugness and self-justification.]]>
