		<description>Just catching up a bit on blogs and just saw your post, Jason. I think you've perhaps misunderstood my question slightly. (Or perhaps taken it in a direction that you see as more valuable.)

I was curious about the fact that Dave uses blogging tools (WordPress, Mars Edit, etc.) as the base for his syllabus and his online presence. You, on the other hand, and some others that I know have gone with wikis for this same purpose. This doesn't mean that this one tool is what is used for all assignments in the class, but is rather the "Home" technology. It's perhaps a question for why Dave or you have chosen this particular tool for YOUR use, rather than a question about pedagogical goals.

That being said, I absolutely agree with you that it is necessary to evaluate the pedagogical goal and then respond with the appropriate technology.</description>
